Trap Door Books is launching its first title!

Trap doors often conceal means of escape to hidden rooms, tunnels and passageways. That is, of course, setting aside their use on gallows, which I suppose is another form of escape altogether. As we launch Trap Door Books, an imprint of Nevermore Press for middle grade and young adult readers, our goal is to provide an entryway into the many worlds of literature.

So it is fitting that we open that portal with Jacques’ Escape, the story of fourteen-year-old Jacques Terriot, an Acadian, who with his family is deported to the British colony of Massachusetts. There’s only one way to find out what he discovers—open the door and pass through. Join us June 1.
